WWYD

I bought these two pedestals at a yard sale the other day for $5. What would you do with them????

I would make either a buffet or a sofa table. Very cool legs!

I would start out by painting them. I'm so glad to see Amelia in that swing. I've never seen her in it before and I've always thought it looked like so much fun. I wish I could fit in it.

Paint it black and then get some kind of round tray, or piece of wood and make a small table. If you could find a cheap silver plate tray with an edge (or pretty plate or platter, you could find a glass topper from a cheese tray at goodwill and put it on top like a cloche. You could even just set a candle on top.

Or see if your father-in-law could drill a hole in a pretty plate and screw it to the top (or epoxy) and put bird seed in it or it could be a bird bath.

I agree, a small table would be good for you, unless you made it a larger one for your new craft room. I would make one a table and one a bird bath. Make the bird bath a fun color!

I am agreeing with the small table, and how about a bird feeder instead of a bird bath. The birds would probably like that in these upcoming winter months. A pedestal for a plant might be nice too. What are they made of? Wood? They are very pretty. Jackie

Oh, those are great! My first thought was candlesticks. Yes, and paint them in a neat faux finish. They might be too tall for candles, but they sure are pretty.

Very cool! My first thought was to paint them and make them candlesticks for outside.

Aunt Vic,

I think you should paint the pedestals red and make them look antiqued.

Love you,

You have some great ideas here...I have nothing to add...but love the idea of the birdfeeder or bird bath. Sometimes if I wait long enough, I will get an inspiration!

This may be a little zealous, but maybe you could make lamps out of them. From what I understand, you can make lamps out of almost anything with the right kits and tools. If you had a big enough dresser, hutch or inset in your home, that would be quite a statement (with the right color paint for your place).
