Country Ick Makover

I bought this little bulletin board at Goodwill awhile ago. Yikes, but I saw some potential.

011

I asked Chloe if she wanted to help me remake it and she told me that she didn't want any part of my tearing up something so cute. : O.

So I gathered supplies and started the project all by myself. Burlap and printable vintage sheet music from here.

Better? I think so.

A crown knob from Hobby Lobby attached to add interest.

I've always meant to join Kimm over at Reinvented for here Trash to Treasure Tuesday, but never have until today.

Make sure to go over and check out other Trash to Treasure makeovers.

Excuse the scratches. After I painted it, I dropped it on the concrete. : )

That is quite the transformation! I love the new look. Sad that you dropped it on the concrete, that sounds like something I would do. ;)

Simply fabulous. I think the scratches make it look even better, you should've just told us you "distressed" it on the concrete! :)

I love the new look!!! Chloe is soo funny. You have such a great eye for turning things around. And you are really good at following through. I have so many projects at home right now that I just haven't had a chance to start.

Now that is beautiful! Isn't it funny to go back and look at things that people used to think were just awesome and now they aren't so awesome? I chuckle when I remember how much I used to love "country blue" as a kid. Remember the 80's? Ugh. I can't stand that color now.

Hi you two,
I have been completely MIA in blogland this past week. But when I clicked on your Site here, I was wondering about little Jacob and if he had made his entrance yet. I scrolled down to find my answer. I'm so happy he is safely here.
And as for this makeover...perfect in every way. Really!!
