Ironstone and shelves

I ran in Goodwill the other day on my lunch break and happened on a wonderful find! An ironstone sugar & creamer! They were in beautiful shape and get this...$1.51 a piece! Can you believe that? Our GW has ugly dinnerware marked for WAY more than that! I was SHOCKED at the price. Of course I snatched them up as fast as I could.

These were perfect additions to all the other white pieces I have been picking up here and there for my new open shelves in my kitchen. I am in LOVE with the shelves that my FIL and husband built for me!

I just put some odd and ends on the shelves as they have not been fully painted but I couldn't wait to try them out!

We have slowly been remodeling our kitchen and so far I am LOVING the transformation. As I've mentioned before, we live in a small 70's brick ranch and have an itty bitty kitchen. Recently we tore out the cabinets that separated the kitchen from the dining area so we installed these shelves to help make up for some of the missing cabinet space.
I would do it again in a heartbeat!

I am SO loving the look of open shelving I've been seeing so much of lately. Such a clean look and so refreshing. If I hadn't just remodeled my kitchen, I would be doing that too. I love it!

Oh, I love your open shelving, it looks fantastic & lucky you finding the ironstone pieces at such a great price. I hardly ever find anything at the thriftstores. You did good, love your white collection too.

The shelves are beautiful and the creamer and sugar make a great addition. That is a bargain for GW. I saw 1 canning jar priced for 1.99 last week, and it wasn't old. Just a plain old canning jar. Jackie

Great deal on the ironstone! "My" little thrift store has some once in a while too. It's so classic and looks perfect in your kitchen!

What a find! You really scored with those. Our GW often has overpriced dishware as well, I would have been giddy with your great deal. Your shelves are beautiful.

I am JEALOUS!! what a find. Ok, is it just me or is it odd that your gw prices thing with odd cents. like 1.51 Ours does not do that. Maybe I am not as cool as you. I am betting on that! :)

Wonderful finds--and what an amazing price! I don't understand the pricing format at stores like Goodwill and Value Village.

Come by and visit if you have a chance--I'm giving away giftcards to TJ Maxx and Marshalls.

OMG! Those are beautiful! What a find! I picked up 4 little ironstone plates at Goodwill this week. I think because they're plain white they mark them less than if they had designs?
