A touch of my home
I found these pictures today that Christina took one day earlier this year when she ran by my house to visit. It was in the midst of us having just moved, selling our old house, end of school, sick little girl, etc and I was feeling very overwhelmed! Christina spent a few minutes making a couple areas pretty for me while I did the mundane tasks of moving boxes from one room to another and making dinner.
I am so excited to finally have a fireplace and mantle! Of course in this horrid Georgia heat and humidity, it being cool enough to light a fire sounds like light years away...
I love how she mixed the rustic with the glass and mirrors. One of these days I am going to be as talented as my sisters. ;) Until then, well I just have her over to do these things for me!

The arrangements are great...sister enjoyed doing them...and you then get the enjoyment of living with them daily.
ReplyDeleteStay cool...temp is over 100 again today...and has been for many days. Also, the humidity is high so that makes for a high heat index.
What a talented sister you have!
ReplyDeleteIt all looks just beautiful! I love what she did with your mantel!
ReplyDeleteWill it ever get cool? Today when I went out to get the mail I thought to myself that is is what it must be like to live in the desert. Don't ya think? LOL! Will fall ever come?

Beautiful arrangement on the mantel. Our school starts here Friday, and it usually take a little while for the subbing to get going. As for the bedding, I sort of work at a snail's pace. I wish I were good enough to just whip it all up. Can't wait to see more of the new house, and just wish Christina could come help me arrange some. You are blessed to have her. Jackie
ReplyDeleteI love your mantel! I have ever since I've seen it. Christina did a great job.
ReplyDeleteThe arrangement looks beautiful! She did a great job with the mantle.
ReplyDeleteI am so ready for Fall. We are getting rain today FINALLY and cooler temps. Only supposed to hit about 83 today and tomorrow with a low of about 60....YAY.♥
Oh I love your mantel, so pretty! I'm longing for some cool days, by this time of year I'm done with the heat. Although, we'll get a break here before you guys. I'll try and send some cool winds your way! :)

Your mantel looks delish!!! There's just something about a mostly empty frame that calls to me...
