Jackpot Monday!

I did not hit any yard sales this weekend due to the floods we have been having in Atlanta! My husband even wondered this morning if the area Home Depot's are selling Gopher Wood these days! :)

Instead, I hit Goodwill and, boy oh boy, did I have fun!

I found 2 Ironstone bowls and a creamer for $4.70!

I just love the shape of the bowls.... (click on the picture to see the detail!)

I found some pretty glassware, all for 55 cents each...stay tuned to see what I am going to do with these pretties.

In fact. I have already transformed this baby...

There is more to show but I am waiting for my camera battery to charge. :)

I'll leave you with a picture I took from my car the other day...

Now head on over to Rhoda's for other thrifty finds!

  1. Awww, secrets from your sister. Wonder what you have done to the glass.

    Love the ironstone too. Beautiful.

Hope you have had a good day. I decided I didn't want to have to take a boat out today, so I've stayed in and worked on laundry and supper. Tonight starts the new tv season for us, so I'm a happy camper. Summer tv has been so boring.

  3. Love that white ironstone...so what are you planning on doing with those glasses...show and tell and soon.

I heard about the many inches of rain in your area...do we need to send a boat?

New Header - love it too!

Question: are those yellow flowers wild ones...we have some that looks like them blooming out in the pasture.

  17. Oh man. I hope you guys are doing OK with all the flooding. I can't remember if you've said where in the Atlanta area you are, but I know that some places were really hard hit. (Luckily we're fine south of ATL!) Stay dry!

  19. My mother has Ironstone from years ago. She has a full place setting for 8. She has them held back for me. She said she'd save some of each paycheck and go buy it at Dillard's.
Thanks for reminding me of this treasure!
