    Hi Christina -- what a great blog! Love your makeovers -- you and your sister have good "eyes" for diamonds in the rough. (And I can't believe she got flowers for a buck at Aldi. Ours doesn't even have flowers.)

    And yes -- those basketweave plates are a buck apiece at Dollar Tree. There are mugs and bowls as well, but I'm just getting some of the plates -- they are the most elegant dishes I've found so far there.

    From a distance, you can't tell them from the HUGELY expensive English ones! Works for me.
