20 Little Things to Treasure in Autumn
While Victoria had a yard sale this weekend trying to pare down her piles, I was hangin' with the family (ignoring my piles) doing this and that and lots of nothing after a particularly emotionally draining week.
I am loving the tiny bits of fall that are showing up in GA. Last evening we were eating with my parents and came out of the restaurant to find twilight falling on a delightfully crisp night.
Today, when I saw that Melissa at The Inspired Room listed 20 Little Things She Treasures In Autumn and invited us to join in, it sounded just like the perfect thing to do.
20 Little Things I Treasure in Autumn
1.The first cool evening in Georgia
2.Soups
3.Pumpkins
4.My fall viewing of You've Got Mail
5.Playing outside without sweating
6.Changing of the leaves
7.Wearing Jeans again
8.Getting out the Cappuccino machine

"You've got mail" is my favorite movie other than Emma. I need to watch it again. "Bouquets of freshly sharpened pencils"
ReplyDeleteI just love all of your Fall things...I think it is the best season!!!
ReplyDeleteGreat list! Another, "you've got mail" fan here. Enjoy the season both inside and out!
ReplyDeleteSarah,
ReplyDeleteI wanted to name my blog long ago, "bouquets of freshly sharpened pencils", but it was already taken.
Don't forget the "smell of scotch tape."
For those of you who like, "You've Got Mail"---
If you like old movies, you should also watch, "The Shop Around the Corner." It is what "You've Got Mail" is based on.
Sounds like just what I am ready for. Jackie
ReplyDeleteSweet Girl & I just came in from enjoying 1 & 5. Now #13 sounds good. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm wistfully dreaming of it all...fall usually doesn't make it till about December here. The leaves start changing in Feb.
ReplyDeleteOoo, loving the fall list. And comfy sweats at the end of the day are the absolute best!
ReplyDeleteYou've got mail, I love that movie!
Happy Fall,
Melissa
I'm with ya! I love fall in Georgia!
ReplyDeleteWearing jeans again...good one. I think, though, that I had too many ice cream cones this summer. ;>
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by and giving me some advice on my rooms. If I move the ottoman back what type of rug should I choose? By the way I found a fork and spoon at a yard sale this weekend, but I have decided what to do with it yet though. I thought about painting it black or white.
ReplyDeleteGreat Autumn favs list. Happy Fall!
ReplyDeleteI just found your blog today. Nice post. I love how fall smells. We live out in the country and hanging out clothes is my favorite thing to do in the fall!
